Pick Your Palette and Plan A Color Scheme

Pick Your Palette and Plan A Color Scheme

It’s time to start thinking in color, color scheme that is. It may be fun to choose your favorite lime green as a wedding color, but here are a few suggestions to let run through your mind.

  • Different skin tones – your bridal party is going to be wearing this color, not you. Be sure to choose a color that will look good on every skin tone.
  • It’s okay to mix metallics – who says gold, silver, and bronze don’t compliment each other?!
  • All white weddings still need a color palette – White is spoken for! Put some color in the bridesmaid’s dresses such as lavender, or other muted, semi-neutral color. These won’t compete with the effect of that crisp, clean, all-white feel .
  • One color only means one hue – You and your partner can only agree on one color? Not a problem, take that color and use different saturations and shades. Canary to Mustard, Rose to Mauve, problem solved!

Is that a light bulb that just turned on?

Happy Planning!
